We Know Who Bought the Piotrowski House

the former Piotrowski House

This past July, an unknown buyer finally purchased and closed on the    former Piotrowski House, the one featured on that now infamous episode of Ghost Adventures.

It was previously foreclosed on when Dan and his wife owned it.  Unable to keep it rented long enough to pay the mortgage, their bank finally took it back and the buyer bought it from them for only $49,000!

Did he or she know about the disappearing water supply?  More importantly, did the new owner know about the home’s history?  Why would anyone want to purchase a home with such a notorious past?  Why would anyone want to move in with ghosts?  Is the new owner actually living in the house, and has he/she had any paranormal encounters?

Or was the Piotrowski “haunting” just a hoax designed to delay the foreclosure and sell the house for at least what they owed?

We are going to find out.  We know who lives there now, and we’re going to ask some questions…

Maybe the fact that you are a paranormal investigator frightened her away!

Wouldn’t be the first time! In the context of selling a home, many sellers are afraid to disclose that it might be haunted as they think it might devalue it. On the other hand, there are buyers looking for mildly haunted homes (nothing like your demon story, which was very good, btw). In this particular case, I think I just have a non-believer to deal with, whether it is genuinely haunted or not. The house does have a well under the basement, though. Can these old wells really be portals to something that sinister?

Did you get answers to your questions from the new owners?

      Bev,

Though I identified the new owner from tax records, that person unfortunately has not returned my phone calls. If I have the right person, it appears she is in the remodeling business, and may in fact have remodeled the Piotrowski house. I have no idea if it was to rent out or re-sell. The only thing I can do is go there and knock on the door and see who answers next time I’m up that way…
